The food at the holiday season can be anything but fresh and light, but not when you visit newly opened T-ZO (pronounced tee-zoh). They specialize in Vietnamese cuisine that is just the right balance of incredibly flavorful and satisfying, but without the heaviness.

Look for vermicelli noodle dishes, Hanoi style pho soup, and a variety of summer rolls with your choice of fillings. Be sure to add the honey sesame or garlic butter fries to whatever you order, and don’t skip the fruity drinks. T-ZO has drinks like snowy lime slush, watermelon tea, and lemongrass limeade that are the not-too-sweet and refreshing way to complement any meal. T-ZO just opened this month, and you can tell the staff is excited to bring their authentic Vietnamese cuisine to Alexandria. The atmosphere is fast casual, but still crisp and clean since they’re brand new. They are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the weekends.
